Course Description: 7.0 Hours.
As outlined in the Childcare First Aid Statutes, Health & Safety Code Section 1596.866, The Preventative Health & Safety Module is a requirement for obtaining and maintaining licensing for any Single Family Child Care Home (6-8 Children), Large Family Child Care Home (12-14 Children) and Child Care Center (Licensed). The State of California- approved course satisfies the licensing requirement for all new Child Care Providers as well as being a requirement for existing facilities. 32 Topics are covered including: Immunizations, Seat Belt Safety, Preventing Infectious Diseases. Handing Food Safety, Illness Care Planning, Health Checks, Preventing Childhood Injuries, Incident Reports, Sudden Infant Death (SIDS), Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS), and Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse (Abuse).
Who Should Take This Course?
Childcare Provider Administrators & Daycare Owners (Typically anyone responsible for the children) Privately owned daycare owners that leave staff unattended at anytime, are required by law to get those staff members EMSA Safety Certified.
American Red Cross (Approval Program 1596.866) For Daycare Providers, ARC Certificate is valid for "Lifetime Use" No Expiration. Our Education Center keeps records for 5-years from course date, afterwards you will need to take the course over if you lost your card.
