The Family & Friends CPR Course teaches the lifesaving skills of adult Hands-Only CPR, child CPR with breaths, adult and child AED use, infant CPR and relief of choking in an adult, child or infant. Skills are taught in a dynamic group environment by using the AHA's research-proven-while-watching technique, which provides students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible.
Family & Friends CPR is a classroom-based course, which includes lecture, video and hands-on practice.
Family & Friends CPR is for people who want to learn CPR but do not need a course completion card in CPR for their job. This course is ideal for schools and students, new parents, grandparents, baysitters and others interested in learning how to safe a life.
Applies AHA's reseach-proven practice-while-watching technique, which improves learning and retention
Classroom format works well for learners who prefer group interaction and feedback while learning skills
Each student receives high-quality course materials for ongoing reference
Note: This course is taught by American Heart Association Certified Instructors with many years of experience teaching certified courses. Please note, participants will receive a non-certified card.
The Family & Friends CPR program teaches:
Adult Hands-Only CPR
Adult AED use
Adult, Child and Infant relief of choking
Included in cost, students will receive a Family & Friends CPR Student Manual (90-1007).
Course Completion Card:
This course does not provide a course completion card; however, students receive a tear-out participation card in their student manuals.
