Home Health Aide Program:

This (40) hour program, consisting of (20) hours of theory and (20) hours of clinical experience is required for a Home Health Aide certificate. The Home Health Aid program requires each student to have a current CNA License in order to take the HHA program. The course emphasizes on how to assist clients with their daily tasks, such as bathing or dressing, housekeeping, planning appointments, arranging transportation to doctors offices and other outings, shop for groceries and prepare meals to meet a client's dietary specifications. HHA will remain performing certified nurse assistant duties such as checking a client's pulse, temperature, respirations rate, changing bandages or dressings, give massages, care for skin.

Enrollment Fee:
To enroll in the program a non-refundable fee of $250.00 is due at time of enrollment into the program. If student chooses to cancel their enrollment, the fee will not be refunded (no exceptions). The remainder cost $625.00 covers all the following: Tuition, student workbook and course resources. Scrubs and Textbook not included- Providing Home Care 5th Ed ISBN 978-1-60425-067-1. There are no state licensing fees for this program.

Clinical Locations:
Turlock Clinical Skilled Nursing Facility will be used, all (20) clinical hours must be completed in person.

DAY 4: July 12- Friday (Theory - Turlock FLP Campus 3PM - 8PM)
DAY 5: July 13- Saturday (Clinical - Turlock SNF Facility 9AM - 2PM)
DAY 6: July 16- Tuesday (Clinical - Turlock SNF Facility 3PM- 8PM)
DAY 7: July 17- Wednesday (Clinical - Turlock SNF Facility 3PM- 8PM)

*Completion Certificate and CEUs emailed to students.

Course Completion Certificate:
Upon successfully completing the Home Health Aide Program (40 Hours) the student will receive a completion certificate and the state will be notified of completion to link HHA to the students CNA License.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs):
This course is approved for (26) continuing education units and will be applied to your CNA License.

Pre-Requisites:
The program is open to the general public for admission, student must have a high school diploma or 18-years of age, Valid Identification Card, Social Security Card. A Healthcare Provider (AHA) BLS class session is not provided in the course. All enrolled students are required to attend an orientation must schedule with admissions office (209) 250-1200. Student must provide a current Certified Nurse Assistant License Number in order to take the program. If a students signs up for the program without a license number, the enrollment fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. By the first day of program students are required to have: One negative TB Test (Alternatives: Chest X-ray or QuintiFERON TB Gold), Physical Release documented on school form, negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of program, current immunizations (titers or shot record) and current AHA CPR Card. Student is responsible for applicable charges.

Attendance:
Students must attend all scheduled program hours, a total of (40) mandatory hours. Missing anytime will disqualify student from program.

Payment Plan:
Students have the option to go on a weekly payment plan the duration of the program, payments are due on (Friday's) each week of program sessions - processed by the Administrative Department.
